Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2474.68 Opportunity: RN - Medical Surgical Job Details: • 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required • Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift • 47-bed department on home unit 5SE with floating to any med/surg unit on any campus • Care for Medical Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients • Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues including physicians to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care • Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise utilizing age and population specific standards • Equipment utilized includes EMR-Epic, AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a larger hospital (200 beds), level 2 or higher trauma center required • Travel experience required unless candidate has multiple years of experience in a large level 1 facility • Surgical oncology patient experience preferred but not required • EPIC experience required • Active North Dakota or Compact RN license required • BLS certification required - must be AHA • BSN not required • Scrubs: Navy Blue • All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility • Orientation includes 1 day lead center training and 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit with a preceptor Facility: This facility is a level 1 trauma center with a minimum of 200 beds, providing acute care services across multiple campuses. The facility features a dedicated Medical Surgical department with 47 beds and offers comprehensive care for a variety of patient populations including surgical oncology patients. The organization supports a collaborative, inter-professional environment and utilizes modern technology including the EPIC charting system to deliver high-quality patient care.
