Sales Consultant - IT Services & Quality Engineering

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

The Sales Consultant is responsible for generating new revenue for QA Bolt by identifying organizations that need stronger software quality, test automation, performance testing, and AI/security validation. This is a senior, results-driven sales role for someone who can sell technology and IT services consultatively to founders, CIOs, CTOs, engineering leaders, QA leaders, and other technical decision-makers. The consultant will build relationships, uncover business and quality challenges, and position QA Bolt as a flexible extension of the client's internal team.

Essential Functions

Own the full business-development cycle from prospecting and relationship development through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close.

Identify and engage small and mid-sized organizations that can benefit from additional quality engineering capacity without expanding a large internal QA organization.

Generate opportunities through LinkedIn, email, phone, referrals, networking, strategic partnerships, and other proven B2B channels.

Lead consultative conversations focused on business outcomes, software quality, release risk, automation coverage, delivery speed, and scalability rather than leading with a hard sell.

Position QA Bolt's Quality Engineering, Quality Governance, and Quality Intelligence capabilities in clear business terms and connect them to each prospect's needs.

Build and cultivate relationships through thoughtful follow-up and multiple value-based touches, moving prospects through the sales process at the appropriate pace.

Coordinate technical discovery sessions and demonstrations with QA Bolt leadership and technical resources when an opportunity is qualified.

Maintain an accurate pipeline, document activity and next steps, and provide reliable revenue forecasts.

Continuously test and improve messaging, targeting, outreach methods, and sales approaches based on market feedback and results.

Compensation & Performance Opportunity

Performance-based equity opportunities may be awarded for achieving defined revenue, client-acquisition, and growth milestones, subject to company approval and a separate written equity agreement.

Ability to meet agreed monthly and quarterly production goals.

Skills & Competencies

Proven success selling IT services, SaaS, software, cloud, cybersecurity, QA/testing, engineering services, or other technical solutions.

Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to diagnose client needs and translate technical capabilities into measurable business value.

Comfortable engaging executive and technical buyers, including CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, QA leaders, founders, and IT leadership.

Demonstrated strength in outbound prospecting, relationship development, negotiation, closing, and account growth.

Working knowledge of software development, SDLC, Agile, DevOps/CI/CD, test automation, APIs, cloud technologies, or related IT concepts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong executive presence.

Education & Experience

5+ years of successful B2B IT, technology, software, SaaS, or technical-services sales experience required.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent technical or enterprise-sales experience will be considered.

Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and developing business from prospecting through close.

Existing relationships within software, technology, engineering, or IT leadership communities are highly valued.
