Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in employing the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver personalized care to patients. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, to strategize, execute, and assess patient care. The RN is expected to demonstrate proficiency and operate within the full spectrum of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical environment. Responsibilities encompass all stages of patient care, including preventive measures, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients progress through their care journey. Key duties include care planning and coordination, patient assessment, education, triage, and various nursing interventions. The RN must function in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules applicable in their state of practice and licensure. Our professional nursing practice framework acknowledges the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as established by the American Nurses Association, serving as the foundation for nursing care delivery and professional behavior.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, such as those recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Must possess an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the state where practice occurs, or hold multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Must obtain and maintain necessary department-specific competencies and certifications.
