Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering personalized nursing care by employing the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position involves collaboration with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, to effectively plan, execute, and assess patient care.

The RN is expected to demonstrate proficiency and operate within the full spectrum of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical environment. Responsibilities encompass all aspects of patient care, including preventive measures, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients progress through their care journey.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and coordinating patient care
• Conducting patient assessments
• Providing patient education
• Triage and various nursing interventions

The RN must operate within the guidelines established by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant Administrative Rules in their state of practice and licensure. Our organization adheres to the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as outlined by the American Nurses Association, which serve as the foundation for nursing care delivery and professional behavior.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required, which may include institutions recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
• A Bachelor's Degree in nursing is preferred.
• Must possess an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the state where practice occurs, or hold multistate licensure if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Must obtain and maintain necessary department-specific competencies and certifications.
