Elite Desktop Engineer for Global Hedge Fund | VIP Support

My client, a market-leading, global, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund, is seeking a Desktop Engineer to join their London office. You will take ownership of the maintenance and support of the firm's global end-user technology and VDI environment, ensuring seamless performance across a fast-paced, high-stakes trading floor. In addition, you will provide hands‑on telephone and user-facing support to traders, portfolio managers, VIPs, and global offices worldwide. Key Responsibilities & Technologies Administration and support of Windows 10/11 enterprise environments across global offices Management and optimisation of VDI infrastructure (Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops / VMware Horizon) Support of trading floor hardware and software, including Bloomberg terminals and low‑latency connectivity Incident and request management via ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms Scripting and automation using PowerShell to improve operational efficiency You will bring 2-8 years of experience supporting end users in a demanding, high-performance environment - ideally within financial services.
