Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly basis for approximately 600 employees using the UKG platform.
- Ensure payroll transactions are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, and internal policies.
- Administer payroll for employees covered by Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
- Process special payrolls and off-cycle requests as needed.
- Manage union payroll processes, vacation payouts, PTO processing, and time-off reporting.
- Administer wage garnishments, direct deposit, and pay card setups.
- Reconcile payroll reports and research/resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee records and payroll data.
- Assist with internal and external audits and payroll-related reporting requests.
- Stay current on payroll laws, regulations, and system updates impacting payroll operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience, including at least 1 year using UKG systems (UKG Pro, UKG Ready, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of payroll best practices and compliance requirements at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Experience processing payroll for union and non-union employees preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll-related software tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Schedule
- 8-hour shift
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime as required
