Store Counter Sales

NAPA Counter Sales Associate Location: Vancouver, WA, USA Employment type: Full time (Hourly pay $19.25, pay progression within 12 months of hire) Responsibilities Provide auto parts answers and solutions for our retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone. Use parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions. Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who comes into our NAPA Store. Maintain customer focus and high energy in our fast‑paced stores. Welcome retail customers into our stores and engage to provide a positive consumer experience. Use technology (computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system). Qualifications Valid Driver's License. Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn all things automotive. High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Love fast‑paced retail environments. Great listening skills and empathy for customers. Preferred (Not required) Background or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership. Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision. Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems. Customer‑centric mindset (external/internal). Many hourly positions have pay progression with set starting rates; you reach the top end of this range within 12 months of hire. Other positions: starting rate determined based on individual skills, experience and qualifications. We encourage candidates to discuss their background during the interview.
