Start Date: 03/16/2026
End Date/Duration: Project duration to be discussed
Shift: 8-hour shifts with start/end times varying (e.g., 6:00AM, 7:00AM, 8:00AM, 11:00AM, 3:00PM shifts)
Hours/week: Full-time schedule
Employment Type: Temp to perm potential
License/Certifications: Louisiana pharmacy license required; BLS or ACLS required; PALS preferred
Experience: Hospital pharmacy experience preferred; Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required

What You'll Do
- Prepare and dispense drug orders per physician requests following policies and protocols
- Accurately interpret and transcribe verbal and written drug orders into electronic systems
- Compound both sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition
- Issue controlled substances and maintain proper records
- Monitor patient drug therapies, ensuring safety and efficacy
- Assist with pharmacokinetics consultation and renal drug dosing
- Provide clinical consultation to medical staff and drug information to healthcare team
- Supervise pharmacy support personnel and verify technician activities
- Participate in quality improvement, medication review, and stewardship activities such as antibiotic and opioid stewardship
- Attend interdisciplinary rounds and ensure compliance with licensing and training requirements
What You Need
- Louisiana pharmacy license; BLS or ACLS certification; PALS preferred
- Minimum relevant hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
