Veterinary Technician | Up to $39/hr

Compensation: Up to $39/hour + Additional Earning Potential for VTS Technicians

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our Anesthesia, Recovery, Emergency, and Critical Care teams. This full-time Veterinary Technician opportunity is ideal for a Vet Tech looking to expand advanced clinical skills, work with high-acuity cases, and grow within a Level 1 Emergency & Critical Care specialty animal hospital.

Whether your passion is anesthesia, ICU nursing, emergency medicine, or specialty patient care, you’ll work alongside experienced clinicians and a collaborative team committed to advanced veterinary medicine.

Compensation

• Anesthesia: up to $39/hour, with higher rates for VTS technicians

• Recovery: up to $32/hour, with additional earning potential for VTS technicians

• Emergency & ICU: up to $38/hour, based on experience and skill level

• VTS experience and advanced technical skills may qualify for additional compensation

Schedule

• Full-time opportunities available

• Emergency and specialty hospital environment, including potential weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts depending on team needs

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care for emergency, critical care, anesthesia, and recovery patients

• Monitor anesthesia, sedation, pain management, and post-operative recovery

• Support DVMs with diagnostics, treatments, procedures, and patient care plans

• Triage and monitor high-acuity emergency and ICU patients

• Communicate clearly with doctors, teammates, and clients

• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols

• Work collaboratively across ER, ICU, anesthesia, surgery, and specialty teams

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician experience required

• CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred

• Emergency, ICU, anesthesia, surgery, or specialty experience strongly preferred

• Strong patient monitoring, technical nursing, and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital environment

• Team-focused mindset with a commitment to patient care and client service

• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
