Veterinary Technician

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is hiring Veterinary Technicians for our Surgery and Emergency/Critical Care teams in Woburn, MA! Join a Level 1 Emergency & Critical Care Hospital where you can grow advanced clinical skills, work with high-acuity cases, and receive strong mentorship and career development support.

Compensation based on experience and skill level. Emergency & ICU: up to $38/hour, based on experience and skill level. VTS experience and advanced technical skills qualify for additional compensation.

Schedules vary by department. Emergency and specialty hospital environment, including potential weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts depending on team needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care for emergency, critical care, anesthesia, and recovery patients
• Monitor anesthesia, sedation, pain management, and post-operative recovery
• Support DVMs with diagnostics, treatments, procedures, and patient care plans
• Triage and monitor high-acuity emergency and ICU patients
• Communicate clearly with doctors, teammates, and clients
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols
• Work collaboratively across ER, ICU, anesthesia, surgery, and specialty teams

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician experience required
• CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred
• Emergency, ICU, anesthesia, surgery, or specialty experience strongly preferred
• Strong patient monitoring, technical nursing, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital environment
• Team-focused mindset with a commitment to patient care and client service
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
