EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE

2-year degree in Computer Sciences, IT, or a related discipline; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years in IT

JOB DESCRIPTION

Create programs on the iSeries in RPG, RPG SQL, CL and SQL
Create reports in Star Query
Support Business Applications including:
- Infor XA
- CCore
- Compleo
Follow department procedures related to change control and perform other duties as required

BACKGROUND/ SKILLS

RPG/CL programming experience.
iSeries Job Control
Logic Development and troubleshooting

SPECIAL TRAINING/ CERTIFICATES

None

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Adhere to Astemo's Safety Policy and practices and report any potential unsafe condition or concern to the Safety department immediately and/or to your direct supervisor.
Programming within iSeries in CL, RPG, RPG IV, SQLRPG, SQL
Development of reports and systems within Star Query Suite or similar.
Support of the CCore and Gentran Systems.
Managing and prioritizing several technical activities and tasks simultaneously in order to meet departmental objectives.
Troubleshoot and assist with issues on plant floor
Responsible for providing "on-call" and off-hours support for production systems.
Interface with hardware and software vendors when applicable.
Support departmental 6S activities.
Perform other duties as required.
