Senior ServiceNow ITSM Developer

Role Overview:

This role is for a Senior ServiceNow ITSM Developer responsible for the implementation and configuration of ServiceNow ITSM applications. The successful candidate will develop robust software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, Web Services, XML, HTML, and CSS, while also demonstrating familiarity with SQL and LDAP queries for database interaction. The position requires a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and ITIL standards, coupled with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the Service Catalog module and create custom applications.
• Create request forms, develop integrations with external systems, implement security (including Access Control Lists), and enhance the user interface.
• Implement moderate to complex custom widgets and backend scripting.
• Configure Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI pages, Script Includes, Access Control Lists, complex workflows, and manage solution migration to higher environments.
• Develop ServiceNow integrations using APIs, web services, and data imports/exports.
• Work with Workflows, SLAs, Import Sets, and Update Sets.
• Create Record Producers and Catalogue Items using Variables and Variable Sets.
• Schedule jobs, events, and triggers to manage business needs.
• Create transform maps and Import sets for uploading bulk data through sheets.
• Perform ServiceNow Custom Development.
• Provide training to business users on project implementation.

Required Skills:

• 7-8 years of experience as a ServiceNow ITSM Developer.
• Experience implementing Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, Service Catalog, Mobile App, and Virtual Agent.
• Ability to configure ServiceNow ITSM applications in alignment with approved design plans.
• Knowledge of unit testing, system integration testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience developing ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, Web Services, XML, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with SQL query creation and LDAP Query for connecting to Oracle, MySQL databases, and AD.
• Experience in creating repeatable processes for design, development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Must be ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Basic knowledge of ITIL/industry standards and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, modules, and functionalities.
• Hands-on experience in configuring Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI pages, Script Includes, Access Control Lists, and complex workflows.

• Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes.
• Sound knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals - data structures, algorithms, operating system concepts.
• Excellent analytical, methodical problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication skills with both non-technical and technical audiences (verbal and written).

Qualifications:

• 7-8 years of experience as a ServiceNow ITSM Developer.
• ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator.
• ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA), are preferred.
