Accountant
Immediate need for an Accountant for a position in the Banking & Financial Industry. This is a 3+ month's contract opportunity with long-term potential located in Plano, TX. Please review the job description below:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly reconciliations
- Review and reconcile month-end data warehouse reports for respective journal entries
- Reconcile financial information provided by business partners in support of monthly JVs
- Prepare and support monthly variance reports and various other internal reports (streamlining processes/process improvement, automating processes)
- Assist in completing various special projects as requested by management
- Prepare schedules supporting the year-end audit/regulatory audits and tax reporting
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Must Haves: 3-5+ years of experience in GL accounting
- BA or BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration OR related experience
- Strong communicator
- Critical thinker
- Self-motivated
- Team player
- Organized
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented
- Positive attitude
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic, and changing environment
- Strong Excel user (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas)
- Strong MS Office skills
- Preferred/ Nice-to-haves: CPA
- Big 4 or public accounting experience
- PeopleSoft experience
- HFM experience
