Quality Inspection & Product Approval

• Perform incoming inspections of raw materials and finished goods and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Approve new items and new product introductions and perform First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Verify that all required inspections have been properly completed by production personnel.
• Ensure products meet established quality standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria.

Nonconforming Material & Discrepancy Management

• Identify, document, and properly manage nonconforming products.
• Create discrepancy reports for manufactured and traded products in MasterControl.
• Communicate rejection reports to Purchasing when discrepancies are identified with traded products.
• Monitor and follow up on materials placed in the “On Hold” location, both physically and within AX.
• Maintain organization, identification, and proper control of all materials in the “On Hold” area.
• Coordinate the disposition of held or nonconforming materials, including credit notes, rework, reuse, return, or scrap.
• Coordinate product segregation when required and issue appropriate quality alerts.

Production Quality Support

• Work closely with Production to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues.
• Support first-piece approvals, in-process inspections, and final inspections.
• Assist Production with determining appropriate corrective actions when quality concerns are identified.
• Ensure quality requirements are consistently followed throughout the production process.

Training & Quality Communication

• Train employees on:
  • Acceptance and rejection criteria
  • First-piece approvals
  • In-process and final inspections
  • Proper use of measurement and inspection instruments
  • Handling of nonconforming materials
• Communicate quality alerts to appropriate employees and departments.
• Provide additional training when quality issues, inspection concerns, or nonconforming materials are identified.

Customer & Supplier Quality

• Support customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
• Support Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) activities.
• Assist with investigating supplier-related quality issues and documenting required corrective actions.

Quality Systems & Compliance

• Follow and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate and complete quality inspection, discrepancy, and corrective-action records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and quality processes.
• Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
