The Facility - Sergeant Ernest I. "Boots" Thomas VA Clinic

The Tallahassee VA Clinic is a high-functioning outpatient VA site with strong regional demand, offering providers the opportunity to work in a mission-driven, lower-acuity setting while still being connected to a larger tertiary VA system. It is particularly attractive for clinicians seeking work-life balance, predictable schedules, and continuity-based care.

Location - 2181 East Orange Avenue, Tallahassee, FL 32311

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

Decontaminate, sterilize and assemble dental and/or surgical instrument sets and reprocessing flexible endoscopes
Maintain, store and packing of reusable medical equipment (RME) as well as document sterilization and decontamination processes
Examine condition of supply items
Assemble/Package/Wraps/Sterilize supply items
Distribute items to wards, clinic units or operating rooms
Receive, store, control supply item stock

Requirements:

Certified Surgical Tech or Certified Sterilization Tech
CBSPD Certification
IAHCSMM Certified or CRCST Certified
At least 1 year of experience in related field
Direct work experience working in a healthcare setting with Dental and/or surgical instrumentation and endoscopes
