Strategic Planning and Operations Manager

Amgen Inc

Amgen seeks a Strategic Planning and Operations Manager to develop business cases for new product introductions and lifecycle projects at its Ohio facility. The role involves cross-functional coordination, portfolio management, and strategic planning to advance site operations and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Lead business cases for product lifecycle, continuous improvement, digital, and capital project portfolios
Represent Amgen Ohio in cross-functional interactions with supply chain, engineering, finance, and operational teams
Manage all phases of business cases including planning, implementation, monitoring, and financial tracking
Identify competing priorities, resource constraints, and schedule risks to support decision-making
Develop operational improvements and communicate resource needs to management sponsors

Requirements

Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 2+ years relevant experience
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years project management/operations/business experience
Program and project portfolio management experience
Cross-functional strategic program experience across multiple operational sites
Ability to work effectively in global environment with diverse management levels
Strategic thinking and continuous improvement mindset
Proficiency with software applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools
