Outside Sales Representative – Atlanta, GA

Athena Farms is an independent, leading foodservice distributor specializing primarily in fresh produce. We are seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team in the Atlanta market.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foodservice or restaurant background who is ready to build a career in sales. Prior sales experience is not required—we’re looking for someone who understands the foodservice industry, enjoys building relationships, takes initiative, and is motivated by the opportunity to help grow both our customer base and our company.

The Opportunity

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing foodservice sales within an assigned territory. You will develop new business, strengthen relationships with existing customers, and represent Athena Farms’ products and services to foodservice accounts throughout the Atlanta area.

The ideal candidate is someone who sees opportunities to make things better and takes action without waiting to be asked. You are results-oriented, highly organized, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A background as a chef, kitchen manager, restaurant manager, or other foodservice professional is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect for new customers through cold calling and other business-development activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing foodservice accounts.
• Conduct regular weekly visits with existing customers to understand their needs and identify opportunities for growth.
• Build pricing and customer-specific order guides.
• Promote Athena Farms’ products and services to current and prospective customers.
• Work closely with customers to provide solutions and deliver exceptional service.
• Communicate with customers regarding accounts receivable and assist with collections as necessary.
• Complete light administrative and sales-related tasks.
• Maintain strong working relationships with customer service and operations teams.
• Attend company sales meetings, customer events, and other business-related activities.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory using a personal vehicle.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous foodservice and/or restaurant experience is required . Experience as a chef, kitchen manager, restaurant manager, or similar role is a plus.
• Previous sales experience is not required .
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Effective negotiation, presentation, persuasion, and closing skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.
• Passion for foodservice and a customer-first approach.
• Proficiency with computers and common business software.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, when needed to meet customer needs.
