About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required License: Active Texas RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience: 3 Description: Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in the PACU setting. Assist in the pre-operative and post-operative phases for surgical patients. Monitor patient vital signs and assess recovery progress. Administer medications and manage pain according to protocols. Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize charting system for accurate documentation of patient information. Participate in procedural sedation and monitor patient responses. Demonstrate knowledge of perioperative patient management and recovery protocols. Perform necessary assessments and interventions to promote patient safety. Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed. Maintain a clean and organized environment in the recovery area.
