Responsibilities Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic: Conducting comprehensive evaluations in the Surgical Services Center to optimize patients before surgery in a high‑volume bariatric and orthopedic setting. Independent Practice: Functioning with significant autonomy to develop and execute anesthetic plans and select pharmacological agents and invasive monitoring. Interdisciplinary Pain Management: Collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Pain Management Center to provide advanced pain relief techniques for acute post‑surgical recovery and chronic pain conditions. Rapid Response: Serving as a primary expert for difficult intubations and emergency resuscitations (ACLS/PALS) throughout the hospital and emergency department. Clinical Instruction: Providing oversight, bedside teaching, and formal evaluations for Student Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) and residents. Curriculum Support: Delivering in‑services, workshops, and case studies to keep anesthesia staff current on the latest DoD anesthesia protocols. Research & QA: Participating in Quality Assurance and Peer Review processes to maintain the high standards required for Joint Commission accreditation. Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen.
