Lab Assistant
$21.65 - $27.38 per hourLabcorp
PAML, a Labcorp company, seeks a Lab Assistant for its Tukwila, Washington location. The role involves receiving, sorting, and preparing clinical specimens for testing, along with equipment maintenance and administrative tasks in a high-volume laboratory environment. Responsibilities
Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing and analysis
Scan and enter specimen and patient information into laboratory systems
Ensure lab equipment functions properly and perform minor maintenance
Maintain clean and safe work environment and replenish supplies
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and complete administrative documentation
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Comfortable handling biological specimens with accurate identification abilities
Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
Ability to work extended periods sitting or standing
Pass standardized color blindness test
Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science, Biology, or Chemistry (preferred)
Six months or more specimen processing or laboratory experience (preferred)
Compensation: $21.65 - $27.38 per hour plus 3rd shift differential
