The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Software Test & Verification Engineer to support our KC-46 team located in Tukwila, Washington. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. Position Responsibilities Supports the design, development, and completion of test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality. Participates in partnering with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability. Supports designing test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications. Contributes to the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments. Supports executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes. Contributes to providing test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities. Supports creating, documenting, and maintaining test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards. Supports developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes. Contributes to software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience) Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline or 4+ years equivalent related experience 2 or more years of experience designing and developing software test plans, test cases, and test procedures 2 or more years of experience executing software test procedures/cases Ability to obtain Final Post Start Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Java, or Ada Experience using team collaboration tools including GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence Experience in software development processes in compliance with established internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices in the development, testing, and deployment of software Knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements Knowledge of appropriate customer or governmental regulations relevant to design, test, and certification (e.g., DO-178B/C) Knowledge of how to derive and allocate requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle Knowledge of the full software development life cycle (requirements, design, code, test and certification) Union This is a union-represented position.
