As an Access Control Officer at a government transportation location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and passengers. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.98 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location. Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, maintain visitor records, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, unauthorized access attempts, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, platforms, facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions. Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access-control documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel and responding agencies. Minimum Requirements: A guard card or license is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
