Join us as a Mechanical EngineerYour Main ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW: The Mechanical Engineer – Technical Support (Service) provides onsite and remote mechanical engineering support for installed elevator systems with an emphasis on troubleshooting, failure analysis, and service restoration. This role serves as a technical resource to field mechanics, supervisors, and operations management, supporting complex mechanical issues that cannot be resolved through standard service procedures. The engineer is responsible for diagnosing issues related to hoisting systems, doors, guide systems, brakes, buffers, car frames, counterweights, governors, and safety devices, determining root cause, and recommending safe, code-compliant corrective actions. Support is delivered via phone consultation, remote diagnostics, and direct onsite job site visits. This position requires extensive field engagement, strong mechanical problem-solving skills, and the ability to document findings in clear, professional reports that can be used for internal engineering review, customer communication, and long-term reliability improvement.Essential FunctionsMechanical Diagnostics & SafetyService Recovery & Post-Repair VerificationQuality, Compliance & Record KeepingElevator Mechanical Systems ExpertiseWhat you bringBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering2 years minimum: Engineering understanding (mechanical; print reading)2 years minimum: Supply Chain and Industrialization knowhow and experience2 years minimum: Analytical competency (data mining, problem analysis; strong Excel skills)Mechanical Engineering, drawing and BOM Manufacturing process, equipment, routing preferredMultiple task management and project managementProblem solving skills or lean six sigmaAnalytical competency (data mining, problem analysis; strong Excel skills)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsSAP knowledge of material management, including design and implementationWhat's in it for you?Fully vested 401k match, up to 7% of total eligible compensation.
