Order-to-Cash, Customer Service & Service Management

Function: IT / Business Applications
Location: India
Experience: 8+ years of hands-on Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) experience
Core Functional Scope: Order-to-Cash (O2C), Customer Service, Pricing, Service Management
Time Zone: Flexibility required to support Australia and New Zealand business hours

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced JDE E1 Functional Analyst with strong expertise across Order-to-Cash, Customer Service, Pricing, Distribution, and Service Management .

The role will provide functional and business process leadership across the customer lifecycle, from customer and sales order creation through pricing, fulfillment, shipment, invoicing, returns, credits, and after-sales service.

The successful candidate will work closely with Customer Service, Commercial, Sales, Supply Chain, Distribution, Warehouse, Service Operations, Finance, and IT teams to improve customer experience, order accuracy, process visibility, service levels, standardization, automation, and production stability.

This is a business-facing functional role requiring deep hands-on knowledge of Oracle JDE EnterpriseOne , strong process understanding, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and sustainable JDE solutions.

Key Responsibilities

JDE E1 Order-to-Cash & Customer Service

• Own functional support for JDE E1 Sales Order Management and Customer Service across the end-to-end Order-to-Cash lifecycle.
• Support and optimize:
  • Customer master
  • Sales order creation and processing
  • Order types and line types
  • Order activity rules
  • Availability and commitments
  • Holds and backorders
  • Order changes and cancellations
  • Fulfillment
  • Shipment confirmation
  • Invoicing
  • Returns and credits
  • Order-status inquiries
• Work closely with business teams to identify recurring operational issues and translate them into sustainable JDE E1 solutions.
• Promote standard JDE functionality and reduce unnecessary customization and process variation.

Pricing & Commercial Processes

• Provide functional leadership across JDE E1 Base Pricing and Advanced Pricing .
• Support customer-specific and contract pricing, adjustments, discounts, promotions, rebates, freight and surcharge rules.
• Manage pricing-related configuration, effective dates, and commercial pricing rules.
• Resolve pricing issues affecting orders, invoices, credits, disputes, and customer experience.
• Strengthen pricing data governance and process controls.

Service Management & After-Sales

• Provide functional support for JDE E1 Service Management .
• Support business processes including:
  • Service requests
  • Service orders
  • Work orders
  • Equipment and installed base
  • Service contracts
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Parts and labor
  • Warranty and entitlement
  • Service billing
  • Service closure
• Improve service-order flow, scheduling, parts availability, visibility, and billing.
• Support returns, repairs, replacements, inspection, disposition, credits, and closure processes.

Cross-Functional Integration

• Manage functional dependencies between JDE E1 and downstream/upstream applications.
• Support integrations involving:
  • Warehouse and 3PL systems
  • Transportation systems
  • CRM
  • EDI
  • Middleware
  • Customer portals
  • eCommerce
  • WMS
  • External service applications
• Partner with Warehouse, Supply Chain, Service, and Finance teams to resolve issues affecting order fulfillment, invoicing, Accounts Receivable, revenue, and General Ledger.
• Ensure reliable transaction flows between systems.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Drive continuous improvement across Customer Service, Order Management, Pricing, Returns, and Service Management.
• Lead current-state and future-state process analysis.
• Perform structured root-cause analysis for recurring functional and production issues.
• Identify opportunities to reduce:
  • Manual data entry
  • Duplicate work
  • Transaction errors
  • Operational exceptions
• Support automation through workflow improvements, integrations, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Define relevant process measures and KPIs to identify bottlenecks and recurring issues.
• Improve governance of customer, item, pricing, equipment, and service-related master data.

Solution Delivery & Demand Management

• Own and prioritize functional enhancements across:
  • Order-to-Cash

• Support the complete delivery lifecycle from requirements through post-go-live stabilization.

• Assess upstream and downstream impacts before implementing changes.

Required Skills & Experience

JDE E1 Functional Expertise

• 8+ years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) .
• 5+ years of strong experience in business-facing roles involving Order Management, Customer Service, Distribution, or Service Management .
• 5+ years of deep knowledge of JDE E1 Sales Order Management , including:
  • Order entry and processing
  • Order and line types
  • Activity rules
  • Availability and commitments
  • Backorders and holds
  • Fulfillment
  • Shipment processing
  • Invoicing
  • Returns and credits
• 3 to 5 years of strong hands-on knowledge of JDE E1 Base Pricing and/or Advanced Pricing .
• 3 to 5 years of Functional experience with JDE E1 Service Management or a comparable ERP service-management solution.

Business Process Knowledge

• Strong understanding of the complete Order-to-Cash lifecycle .
• Good understanding of Customer Service and Order Management processes.
• Practical knowledge of:

• Experience supporting Australia/New Zealand business operations is advantageous.
