Director of Human ResourcesThe Director of Human Resources coordinates long and short term planning and implementation of policies and procedures relating to hotel associates to help create a safe culture of hospitable service, resulting in strong productivity and an engaged workforce.Core Responsibilities:Administer, direct and facilitate the property Human Resources functions.Coordinate and direct the recruitment, processing, orientation and training of qualified applicants for all positions.Monitor performance appraisal systems.Administer benefits program appropriately.Accurately administer wage and salary program.Monitor compliance with local, state and federal laws, as well as established policies and procedures.Act in concert with hotel management team and property General Manager.Coach and counsel associates, including managers.Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow associates.Practice a culture of guest service in all you do; promote courtesy, good will and a positive attitude in each and every encounter.Perform any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Human Resource or related business fieldMinimum 5 years' experience leading HR functions, demonstrating proven investigation and problem resolution skillsStrong business communication skills verbal and writtenStrong presentation skills and ability to train at leadership and hourly levelKnowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulationsHigh work ethic and self-initiativeStrong computer skills in Microsoft SuiteSome travel may be requiredRegular attendance according to established guidelinesMay be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the propertyMust possess basic computational abilityFocus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptionsAbility to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all timesAbility to converse calmly with upset associates, superiors and guests in intense emotional situationsAbility to participate in, and at times lead departmental and/or hotel team meetingsThis job description is not an exhaustive list of all job functions that are required of an employee in this position. Annual Salary: $115,000Physical Requirements:Sit, stand and walk for varying lengths of timeLift approximately fifteen (15) poundsGood communication skills, both written and verbalGrasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual abilityMust have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line tone tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers and other office equipment as neededPhysical Requirements (In-Office Role) Ability to work in a standard office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day) Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday. Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items. Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies). Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
