Job Description As a Armed Security Officer - Day Shift in Las Vegas, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.34 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:45 AM - 06:15 PMTue06:45 AM - 06:15 PMWed06:45 AM - 06:15 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures. Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as directed, reporting suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site requirements. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
