Medical Receptionist

Become a part of our caring community The Receptionist is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility. Your role will involve greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient records. The Receptionist ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supports the medical team with several administrative tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments. The Receptionist welcomes patients and offers administrative support within a physician practice or center. This may include the following responsibilities: Greet Patients: Welcome patients and visitors both in person and over the phone. Schedule Appointments: Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to improve schedules. Patient Records: Update patient records, ensuring accuracy. Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Billing and Payments: Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. May include collecting copay at time of visit. Inquiries and Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information. Office Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials. Administrative Support: Help with other administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages. The manager limits decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and manages works closely and/or within established policies with minimal opportunity for deviation. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers, etc. Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient experiences and care Excellent customer service and phone etiquette Team player with a positive attitude Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and highly organized Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred Qualifications Value-based care model experience Knowledge of Medical Terminology Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records) Additional Information The company considers this role patient-facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program, which includes this role. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $38,000 - $45,800 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
