Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $1,500–$1,700/week — Based on experience and qualifications

Job Summary

Command the medical operations of a premier overnight arts program as the primary clinical lead. This role oversees a 3-bed infirmary, managing everything from initial intake and daily medication rounds to emergency response and external provider coordination for a high-performing international population.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce rigorous campus-wide sanitation and health protocols for the duration of the residency.

• Maintain comprehensive, confidential medical archives and daily logs for every program participant.

• Conduct arrival wellness screenings and provide continuous health surveillance for students and staff.

• Act as the lead responder for medical emergencies, providing expert CPR and first aid.

• Manage the full lifecycle of medication—including intake, secure storage, and scheduled distribution.

• Serve as the primary liaison for families and faculty regarding health policies and participant updates.

• Coordinate with regional hospitals and pharmacies to facilitate off-site clinical interventions.

• Provide personal transport and medical accompaniment for participants requiring external care.

• Uphold an unwavering standard of infirmary readiness, ensuring all supplies are stocked and sanitized.

• Monitor for communicable disease trends and execute immediate containment strategies to protect the community.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid New York State RN license in good standing (or immediate eligibility).

• Current certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid.

• Capacity to reside on-campus and remain reachable for on-call duties throughout the season.

• Professional nursing history with populations aged 10–30 in clinical or structured youth environments.

• Robust clinical assessment skills with the ability to make high-stakes autonomous decisions.

Ideal Qualifications

• Nursing background in residential schools, summer camps, or similar youth-centered settings.

• Exceptional interpersonal presence with the ability to remain composed in a high-intensity environment.

• Reliable team contributor who fosters trust among students, parents, and colleagues.

• Possession of Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certification is highly desirable.
