Duty Manager - Ground Service Equipment

Location: Dallas Fort Worth, TX | DFW Airport, TX, USA Role Purpose This role is responsible for managing multiple shop employees (10-15 mechanics), scheduling all maintenance services, parts ordering and acquisition, and compliance with all airport and DOT regulations in accordance with Menzies Aviation policies and procedures. The GSE Duty Manager also oversees all repair and maintenance actions that occur during other shifts. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct the work of the duties to meet objectives with the most efficient use of personnel, facilities, and equipment. Establish performance standards for each phase of work. Adhere to standard practices and quality specifications for all work performed. Establish a program for the acquisition, storage, and accountability of all parts, materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain detailed record keeping of all fleet vehicles. Make regular inspections of the condition of all equipment and systems, report findings, and take corrective action. Perform additional duties as required within contractual limitations or as directed by administration. Diagnose vehicle problems remotely and problem‑solve quickly. Develop and oversee an effective work safety program. Ensure compliance with safety, security, wellbeing, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Possess a valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record. ASE Certification preferred (not required). Pass pre‑employment drug screen and all pre‑employment testing. Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. Must be comfortable lifting 70 lbs repetitively. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions. Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays. Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs Seal. Report any significant deficiency in products, materials, or documents. Suggest improvements to working practices, especially those related to safety and security. Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendors, and employees. Must have a high school diploma, GED, or one‑year experience as a Supervisor in the Aviation Industry. Completion of an Automotive/Diesel Mechanic degree program (preferred).
