Overview Registered Nurse (RN) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Texas Health Dallas. Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Part Time, 24 Hours; 7:00pm – 7:00am NICU Department highlights Fast-paced Level III NICU Provides care for 22+ weeks Cooling, High Frequency Ventilator Supportive leadership supporting opportunities for certification in High-Risk Neonatal Nursing Requirements Diploma in Nursing required or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program BSN preferred One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program One year of NICU experience strongly preferred RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days NRPA – Advance Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training required within 90 days and maintained annually Responsibilities Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers Benefits Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program, and additional benefits Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice Strong Unit Based Council (UBC) and supportive, team environment with opportunities for growth For more than a half-century, Texas Health Dallas has been at the forefront of health care in North Texas.
