Job DescriptionMorgan Stanley at Work (“MSAW”) is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, comprised of E*Trade, Shareworks by Morgan Stanley, Marketing, Retirement Plan Solutions, and Financial Wellness. Our division offers in-depth knowledge and resources focused on providing a full range of solutions that help address various institutional and employee financial opportunities.The Relationship Manager (RM) position is responsible for the equity compensation relationship within the Wealth Management Client Segments division. They are responsible for partnering with a clients key administrative contacts (Directors and Managers of Stock Plan Administration teams). They must possess a strong working knowledge of equity compensation and relationship management. The Relationship Manager is responsible for the overall satisfaction of the client and will be instrumental in ensuring that the plan is utilizing the various components of our offering to enhance the participant experience.Service delivery within the corporate client expands beyond the primary administrative contacts. This will include individuals within human resources, benefits, compensation, and finance departments. A successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, proven problem-solving skills, a strong knowledge of equity compensation and stock plans, and a focus on the challenges that face todays administrators.Primary Responsibilities May Include:Collaboration with other teams to ensure all clients receive timely responsesDelivering of regular business reviews to share thought leadership, relevant enhancements and detailed plan level analyticsRegular contact with clients to maintain a high level of personal interactionMonitoring client satisfaction through internal benchmarks, surveys and RM check-insPromoting and sharing efficiencies and best practices to improve service and executionAligning client requests and expectations with business needs and constraints while maintaining a positive relationship with client contactsCoordinating new projects with clients and internal teamsEngaging with various Morgan Stanley service support organizations to ensure strong execution of service deliveryCommunication with internal business partners regarding plan events and key issues impacting the clientAttending industry webcasts and Morgan Stanley promoted education forums, sharing relevant information with clients and colleaguesCollaborating with colleagues professionally and respectfullyQualificationsBachelor’s degree required along with 2-5 years of industry experienceA strong understanding of the executive compensation and stock plan industriesExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsSome travel will be requiredOrganizational skills to track and maintain multiple projectsAbility to work under periods of extreme pressure with very tight time constraintsDemonstrates the ability to build a clear case for complex or difficult decisions and effectively present recommendations to management.Ability to identify issues and clearly articulate concerns, both verbally and in writing, enabling effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to drive resolution.Comfortable running meetings and speaking to large groupsCertified Equity Professional designationAppropriate securities licenses required (FINRA Series 7, and 63 or 66) or willingness to be obtained within 180 days of hire.A strong working knowledge of MS office products.Morgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
