Job Opportunity

Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift:

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Must be available to work at least every other holiday.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 18 months of recent experience in the Emergency Room setting. Ideal candidates will possess a blend of permanent experience or experience gained through travel assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Monitor and assess patients; respond to emergencies promptly.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Complete necessary documentation and maintain patient records accurately.
• Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives.

Requirements:

• 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty is required (preferably at one location but not mandatory).
• Current and valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand at the time of application.
• Active certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
• Candidates must complete ECG rhythm recognition tests and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applied for is required.

Additional Information:

• Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements.
• All other candidates must be nicotine-free, with a negative drug screen required within 12 months of starting.
• Background checks will be conducted; candidates with any license violations will not be accepted.
• Annual hands-on competency requirements apply for those who remain on continuous contracts or return within a calendar year.
