Every day you will register and pre-register patients, minimizing wait times and ensuring all required documents and signatures are obtained. You will meticulously verify insurance eligibility and benefits, process co-payments, and provide detailed notes in the computer system for all payer-related and patient communications. To be successful in this role, you will have previous clerical experience, with a minimum of one year in prior authorization, precertification, and insurance benefits within a hospital registration or medical office setting.

Every day you will register and pre-register patients, minimizing wait times and ensuring all required documents and signatures are obtained. You will meticulously verify insurance eligibility and benefits, process co-payments, and provide detailed notes in the computer system for all payer-related and patient communications. To be successful in this role, you will have previous clerical experience, with a minimum of one year in prior authorization, precertification, and insurance benefits within a hospital registration or medical office setting.
- Interviews customers for data retrieval
- Abstracts medical information necessary from the mother's and baby's chart for completion of the birth certificate form
- Retains and understands federal, state, and county regulations as it pertains to birth registry
- Completes Paternity Acknowledgements submitted to the state
- Locates and orders medical charts when necessary
- High School Graduate/GED
- Six months of customer service experience in finance, physician office or clinic, insurance, banking
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- One year relevant experience in hospital environment
