Job Description:
- Be a key player in delivering exceptional patient care by performing complex CT procedures.
- Utilize your professional judgment to gather and document patient clinical history, ensuring accuracy in PACS.
- Prepare and review contrast questionnaires with patients and family members, seamlessly integrating information into EPIC.
- Administer contrast media as prescribed by licensed practitioners, ensuring patient safety at every step.
- Communicate effectively with Radiologists and Referring Physicians to clarify prescriptions and obtain necessary clinical information.
- Verify insurance exam scripts and coordinate with Finance for insurance re-verification.
- Schedule and obtain outside studies for comprehensive patient care, making sure all necessary reports are accessible for Radiologists.
- Provide exam copies to patients and referring physicians, fostering clear communication and support.
- Evaluate radiographs using the PACS System, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards.
- Create safe scanning protocols that consider patients' specific needs, including age, culture, and language.
- Prepare patients for scanning by implementing shielding and stabilization techniques.
- Explain procedures to patients clearly, addressing their questions and concerns with empathy.
- Conduct venipuncture and monitor patients for adverse reactions during procedures, prioritizing their well-being.
- Adhere to all departmental policies, showcasing professionalism and commitment to care.
- Lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods to deliver the best service possible.
- Champion the unique needs of each patient, adapting care to fit varying conditions and challenges.
