Candidates should have demonstrated scholarly distinction at the associate professor or professor level and demonstrate capacity for leadership. Candidates eligible for appointment to the tenure track are strongly preferred. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:Effectively manage a comprehensive multi-site clinical operationOversee and expand a robust research operation funded by federal and non-federal grantsEnhance educational opportunities for medical students and residents, within the divisionRecruit and develop the best and the brightest faculty to enhance and grow the Division's national reputationThe division chief is paired with a division administrator who fully supports the administrative needs of the division.
