Project Manager- Commercial Interiors

ResponsibilitiesContributes to the development of the project safety plan with corporate safety and provides jobsite leadershipContributes to development of project controls and procedures, and develops risk mitigation processes to manage contract requirementsCreates and follows through on potential change items and participates in verification of project financial forecastCreates and manages a project-specific quality plan aligned with the owner contract and contract documents and assists with executionCreates and manages a closeout plan in alignment with the contract documents and assist with executionDirects and supervises work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational prioritiesAssists in subcontracting strategy, supports scope writing and deliverables to ensure the integrity of the buyout processImplements and enforces all aspects of contracts; participates in developing risk mitigation plan; prepares draft contracts, agreements, and purchase ordersParticipates in enrollment for insurance and bonds; tracks and obtains trade contractors’ complianceProvides support as needed to develop project estimate, design coordination efforts, and preparation of GMPPrepares monthly schedule updates, including schedule analysis, and narratives for select packagesAssists constructability and coordination reviewsDevelops a basic understanding of the local market areas and profiles to assist in creation of networking strategyTrains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasksManages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standardsFosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team membersAids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reportsQualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management3-7 years of commercial interiors construction experienceOr equivalent combination of education and commercial construction experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong technical and communication skills are criticalAbility to work in a team environmentKnowledge of industry standard software (Procore), Microsoft Office (preferred)Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.For New York City, NY, this ranges from $110,000.00-$140,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
