Your key responsibilities

As a Manager in Technology Analysis, you will manage and deliver high-quality processes, solutions, or projects with a focus on risk management. Your responsibilities will include continuous process improvement, innovation, and leveraging best practices. You will oversee professional employees or supervise teams to achieve complex technical initiatives. Expect to maintain billable client charging, lead delivery streams, manage projects, and engage with external clients daily. Travel may be required based on client needs. 

• Lead the translation of business requirements into technical specifications.  

• Evaluate and ensure alignment of technology solutions with business objectives. 

• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes and solutions. 
• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA RAR solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct business process workshops and requirements gathering sessions with Finance, Accounting, Sales, and IT stakeholders.
• Design and implement revenue recognition processes compliant with ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
• Configure and manage:
• Revenue Accounting Items (RAIs)
• Performance Obligations (POBs)
• Revenue Contracts
• Contract Modifications
• Revenue Allocations
• Revenue Posting and Reporting
• Define integration architecture between SAP RAR and:
• SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI)
• Sales & Distribution (SD)
• Project Systems (PS)
• Subscription or Contract Management solutions
• COPA and Financial Reporting
• Lead Fit-to-Standard, Solution Design, SIT, UAT, Cutover, and Hypercare activities.
• Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for enhancements and integrations.
• Support data conversion, reconciliation, and revenue migration activities.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive issue resolution, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
• Mentor consultants and support capability development within the SAP Finance practice.
• Contribute to business development activities, solution proposals, and client presentations.

Skills and attributes for success 

To thrive in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in managing processes and solutions with an emphasis on quality and risk management. Your ability to engage in research and apply best practices will be key to driving innovation. 

• Lead and deliver quality SAP projects or workstreams. You will initiate the requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, complete the workflow and documentation, as well as the functional design of the solution. Liaise with the stakeholders and technical team to translate needs into business solutions and complete the configurations and/or integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.   
• Consistently deliver quality client services. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
• Demonstrate strong decision-making skills in developing solutions for complex problems.
• Modify policies and establish procedures within the scope of work.
• Possess a functional understanding of system development lifecycle and technology business architecture frameworks.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4 to 6 years of SAP Finance experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) experience.
• A minimum of 2 full lifecycle SAP RAR or Revenue Recognition implementations.
• Proven experience managing SAP projects or workstreams, including coordination of project-based team members; exposure to hybrid onshore/offshore delivery models is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and technical documentation skills.
• Strong understanding of:
  • ASC 606
  • IFRS 15
  • Revenue contract accounting
  • Multiple element arrangements
  • Performance obligations
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture and Universal Journal.
• Strong knowledge of Order-to-Cash and Revenue Recognition business processes.
• Experience leading offshore and onshore functional teams.
• Excellent client-facing communication and workshop facilitation skills.
• A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Prior consulting experience.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
• SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) certification.
• Experience with subscription-based or recurring revenue business models.
• Experience in Utilities, Manufacturing, High-Tech, Software, Telecommunications, or Professional Services industries.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $142,600 to $261,500.  The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $171,200 to $297,200.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
