Part-Time Afterschool Babysitter for School-Age Children

We are seeking a responsible and experienced part-time babysitter for our two children, aged 8 and 11, in Washington, DC. The position involves caring for the children after school with typical hours from 3 PM to 7 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Wednesdays during the school year, ending in June 2026. Key responsibilities include picking the children up from school, preparing lunch boxes for the next day, feeding them dinner, reminding them to shower, and occasionally assisting with appointments, play dates, and homework. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, their own vehicle, and feel comfortable driving children. Previous experience working with children is required, and experience with ASD or ADHD children is a plus. Regular availability during these hours for the duration of the school year is essential.
