Marketing Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a creative, organized, and detail‑oriented Marketing Assistant to support our marketing efforts across digital platforms, print materials, and community engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of design, coordination, and hands‑on marketing support, and who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with leadership and internal teams to help execute marketing strategies, maintain brand consistency, and support events, sponsorships, and campaigns. Supervision Non‑supervisory and reports directly to the Director of Development and Strategy Position Duties Digital Marketing & Design Support Assist in creating visually engaging digital content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), email campaigns, and website updates Design basic marketing graphics, posts, and promotional materials using tools such as Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms Help schedule, organize, and track social media content Ensure branding consistency across all digital channels Marketing Collateral & Print Materials Assist with the design and coordination of marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, signage, handouts, and other promotional materials Coordinate with vendors or printers as needed to ensure timely production and delivery Maintain and update existing marketing materials as needed Events, Sponsorships & Community Outreach Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events, sponsorships, and community initiatives Assist with event logistics, promotional materials, and follow‑up communications Help track sponsorship opportunities and maintain related documentation Represent the organization professionally at events when needed General Marketing Support Assist with campaign planning, implementation, and tracking Help organize marketing calendars, assets, and project timelines Conduct basic market or competitor research as requested Support other marketing initiatives and administrative tasks as needed MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree in business, marketing, communications or a similar field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk and access students/clients in various environments, bending over and lifting/holding/carrying objects found in an office environment. Ability to communicate and respond to co‑worker and customer inquiries both in person and over the phone. Ability to operate a PC/laptop and to enter & retrieve information from a computer. Ability to handle varying and often high levels of stress. Ability to travel throughout the County. Must be able to drive. WORKING CONDITIONS Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Community Health Center mission and philosophy. Willingness to work a flexible schedule when circumstances necessitate Physical Demands: Lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, carrying, sitting, vision corrected in normal range, hearing corrected in normal range Hazardous Conditions: Exposure to infectious diseases; exposure to workplace chemicals, potential exposure to physical violence Exposed to: Cold/heat controls, close contact with sick people.
