Laser Operator for Direct Hire

Laser Operator We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator for a long-term, direct hire role in Hartland, WI. The Laser Operator will be responsible for CNC Fiber & CO2 Laser Set-up/Operation as well as managing material exchange from an automated storage system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Laser Operator: Perform setups and operations on CNC Fiber & CO2 Lasers. Check material thickness for accuracy and load material into laser stocker. Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations. Identify and solve machine alignment and cut condition problems. Troubleshoot minor program errors independently. Cross Train across multiple laser platforms and cells. Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system. Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work. Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues. Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues. Maintain performance logbooks on assigned area equipment, report deficiencies to the maintenance team. Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level. Assist in other departments during slow periods as needed. Qualifications for Laser Operator: 2 years' experience preferred Use of precision measuring equipment Basic shop math & dimensional measuring Knowledge of variety of materials, appropriate cutting conditions, consumables, programming Familiarity with MAZAK equipment preferred Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings Written and verbal communication skills If you are interested in learning more about this role, please submit your resume for immediate consideration!
