ProActive Work Health Services
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Referral Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will help coordinate medical referrals, track authorizations, and ensure timely communication between clinics, insurance companies, and outside medical providers.
Responsibilities:
Process and track internal and external medical referrals.
Submit and follow up on authorization requests (RFAs).
Communicate with clinics, insurance adjusters, utilization review departments, and specialty offices.
Upload referral documents and authorization decisions into the EMR.
Monitor pending referrals and follow up on outstanding requests.
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of referrals.
Assist with resolving referral delays and authorization issues.
Qualifications:
Previous healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
Workers’ compensation experience is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
Proficiency in computers, email, and electronic medical records.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
