Director, Sales

Director of Sales – Creedmoor, North Carolina Report to the Site Director/General Manager – Ontic North Carolina. Build and lead a local sales team while driving growth, establishing a strong commercial presence, and scaling a high‑performing sales organization. Provide regular U.S. travel and occasional international travel. Responsibilities Ultimately responsible for the sales function and accountable for achieving organic sales revenue and margin targets for Ontic NC products in all markets. Personally accountable for achieving the annual Ontic NC order booking targets. Collaborate with other Ontic sites to support sales of all Ontic products in certain markets. Prepare and deliver proposals and negotiate sales contracts within the Ontic authorization limit. Build and maintain a sales leads and opportunities pipeline within CRM. Convert outstanding customer quotes into sales bookings. Develop relationships with key customer influencers and decision makers. Maintain and contribute toward key account plans with major customers and distributors. Forecast future sales bookings to support the S&OP process. Determine, coordinate, and follow‑up on trade‑show attendance. Develop business relationships focused on establishing, maintaining, and improving the Ontic brand. Undertake additional duties that support the role, such as making strategic recommendations, developing marketing plans, and implementing strategies to achieve planned sales goals. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in business or a related field. Aerospace experience in a similar senior sales or commercial role. Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to build confidence with stakeholders at all levels. Experience working in a small, flexible team and able to work on own initiative while collaborating across a global enterprise. Effective listening skills and ability to clarify and confirm customer requirements. Broad commercial and business awareness, including understanding of value‑based pricing and cost‑benefit analysis. Knowledge of customers’ purchasing department structures and decision‑making processes. Experience using and maintaining a CRM system. Regular U.S. travel and occasional international travel required. Must meet export control compliance requirements.
