Summary

The Social Media Coordinator exists to grow and deepen the social audience and podcast listenership for the Young Adults Pastor through regular, voice-accurate content that feels unmistakably like him. Creating content that teaches, encourages, and draws people toward his books, podcasts, and teachings at Southeast, and ultimately a deeper walk with Jesus. This role owns the Young Adults Pastor’s social presence across current platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, and YouTube, as well as emerging platforms, and supports the podcast properties through show notes, promotional content, and clip strategy, to name a few. SE YA Pastor voice accuracy is the non-negotiable craft of this role.

What you will be doing:

Voice-Accurate Content Creation 

• Write and produce social content at platform-appropriate cadence on Instagram and Facebook, YouTube, and X that sounds unmistakably like the SE YA Pastor’s voice: his cadence, his illustrations, his humor, his theology.
• Build a voice library: reference clips, turn-of-phrase patterns, topic frequency, and “how he would never say it” and “what he would never say” guardrails.
• Operate an approval rhythm with leadership and the SE YA Pastor as necessary, surfacing the highest hit content for review while holding the volume the platform requires.
• Adapt his books, sermons, podcast episodes, and teaching into platform-native social formats without watering down the message.

Sermon & Podcast Clip Strategy 

• Own the sermon-to-social and podcast-to-social pipelines, identify the most shareable moments from every message and every podcast episode.
• Build and run a weekly content-mining rhythm across sermons, podcast episodes, podcast guest appearances, books, and past social archives.
• Partner with Marcom leadership on clip production standards, source files, and scheduling.
• Maintain the evergreen clip bank to keep the platform from going stale or dark.

Podcast Episode Support, Show Notes & Promotion 

• Write episode descriptions and show notes for every SE YA Pastor podcast property, in his voice, optimized for search and discovery.
• Build the per-episode social promotion plan, announcement, launch day, sustained amplification, and guest cross-promotion.
• Coordinate with podcast guests on cross-promotion: provide assets, copy, and a clear amplification ask.
• Partner with the Marcom leadership to build episode-level branded assets (cover art variants, audiograms, quote cards) for distribution platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube).
• Track which clips, topics, and formats drive the most podcast listener growth and feed insights back to the Marcom leadership.

Community Engagement & Audience Growth 

• Respond to comments and DMs as directed on the SE YA Pastor’s behalf in a voice that reflects his care and his clarity, with clear guardrails.
• Flag pastoral-care situations, high-stakes criticism, or media inquiries to the Marcom leadership immediately.
• Monitor trends and platform changes and adapt the content strategy in real time.
• Grow followers through content quality and consistency, not engagement-bait tactics that would cheapen the SE brands.

Analytics, Coordination & Campaign Support 

• Track weekly performance by platform and content type and deliver a monthly insights report with specific recommendations.
• Support every podcast launch and major campaign with an amplified social plan as necessary and directed by Marcom leadership.
• Coordinate with Southeast’s Social Media Coordinator on appropriate cross-posting between the SE YA Pastor platform and other church channels.
• Maintain a clean, current SE YA Pastor content calendar shared with Marcom leadership.

What we are looking for:

• 2–5 years managing social for a brand, creator, pastor, author, or public figure, with at least one role focused on voice-accurate content for someone other than yourself.
• Outstanding writing instincts; can match tone, cadence, and illustration style with uncanny accuracy.
• Native fluency across Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube Shorts/Reels, including the craft of short-form video.
• Experience writing podcast show notes and episode descriptions; familiarity with podcast SEO basics.
• Working fluency with basic video and audio clip editing (CapCut, Premiere, Descript, or equivalent) for clip creation, captioning, and short-form video.
• Working AI fluency; uses AI for voice-matching drafts, clip selection, caption variants, show note generation, analytical discernment, and content calendar acceleration, while maintaining rigorous quality control.
• High emotional intelligence and discretion; you are representing a pastor to the public, and judgment matters as much as craft.
• A heart for the Gospel and a genuine appreciation for the SE YA Senior Pastor ministry.
