Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position AHRC NYC is looking to hire a Part‑Time Occupational Therapist for their Manhattan and Bronx programs. This position has a pay rate of between $35‑$70 per hour. Responsibilities Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional well‑being to determine their occupational therapy needs Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' goals and needs Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to enhance independence Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy techniques Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist Experience working with diverse patient populations Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced hospital setting Experience in case management is a plus Additional Information AHRC New York City is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
