Junior Accountant LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization seeking a Junior Accountant to join its accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions while supporting the accuracy of financial records and reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their accounting career in a collaborative environment. This position is fully onsite and will pay between $50K and $68K annually depending on experience and education. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly close activities, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and post journal entries for recurring transactions, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Complete account reconciliations and research variances to maintain accurate financial records.
• Review financial data and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts while resolving outstanding items.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and management reporting packages.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and supporting records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Work with various departments to gather financial information and support project-related accounting activities.
• Assist with cash management functions, including monitoring balances and processing transactions.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting efforts by compiling financial data and analysis.
• Provide support during audits and assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Contribute ideas for improving accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• One to three years of accounting experience in a corporate, public accounting, or related environment.
• Strong internship experience will also be considered.
• Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software is preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
