Patient Access Representative

Location: Playa Vista, CA 90094

Duration: 13 Weeks (Onsite)

Shift: Monday–Friday: 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM Saturday–Sunday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Every other weekend required

Summary:

Responsible for patient relations, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and handling referrals and authorizations in a medical office setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary point of contact for patient relations in person and by phone.
• Greet patients and assist in resolving concerns and escalating as appropriate.
• Check patients in/out, collect co-payments, give receipts, and reconcile payments.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic.
• Schedule appointments and complete patient registration.
• Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types.
• Handle patient/provider correspondence.
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients.
• Sanitize workspace following department guidelines.

Qualifications:

• SD/GED.
• Flu vaccination (no exceptions/no declinations).
• Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
• 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
• Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
• Preferred: 2+ years’ experience as Patient Service Representative.
• Preferred: Experience with CS-Link/Epic.
• Preferred: Understanding of medical terminology.
