AUTOMOTIVE GENERAL MANAGER
Domestic Franchise Automotive Dealership | High-Volume Store

We are seeking an experienced Automotive General Manager to lead a high-volume domestic franchise dealership selling approximately 170 vehicles per month.

This is an opportunity for a proven dealership leader who knows how to drive sales volume, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence while building a strong, accountable team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a track record of managing a busy automotive operation and developing managers and sales professionals to consistently hit-and exceed-monthly objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the entire dealership
• Drive new and used vehicle sales performance and profitability
• Establish and execute monthly and annual sales, gross, and volume objectives
• Hold Sales, F&I, BDC, Service, Parts, and Used Car departments accountable to performance goals
• Recruit, train, coach, and retain high-performing management and sales teams
• Monitor dealership KPIs including traffic, closing ratios, gross profit, inventory turn, F&I penetration, CSI, and overall profitability
• Develop effective pricing, advertising, merchandising, and inventory strategies
• Work closely with the Dealer Principal/Ownership to maximize dealership profitability
• Create a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and customer service
• Ensure compliance with all manufacturer, state, and federal regulations
• Review financial statements and identify opportunities to improve departmental profitability
• Maintain strong relationships with the manufacturer and key dealership partners
• Lead daily and monthly performance meetings and ensure action plans are executed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience as a General Manager, General Sales Manager, or Senior Dealership Manager
• Strong track record in a franchise automotive dealership
• Experience managing a dealership selling 150+ vehicles per month preferred
• Strong understanding of variable operations, fixed operations, and dealership financials
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales, gross profit, and overall dealership profitability
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of automotive sales processes, F&I, inventory management, and dealership KPIs
• Ability to recruit, motivate, coach, and hold a large team accountable
• High energy, competitive, and results-driven leadership style
• Must be willing to lead from the front and be highly visible in the dealership
