Salary: $95,000–$135,000 / DOE Responsibilities Manage trust and estate litigation cases from inception through trial or resolution. Support attorneys by proactively managing case deadlines, calendars, and workflow. Draft, prepare, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and court filings. Prepare and file documents electronically and physically in California courts. Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation. Prepare trial binders, exhibits, witness materials, and evidence for trial. Draft discovery documents, pleadings, and litigation support materials. Conduct legal research, cite checking, and shepherdizing. Maintain organized case files and accurate case management records. Monitor case progress and communicate status updates to attorneys and clients. Prepare monthly client status reports and ensure timely client communication. Track billable time daily and maintain accurate billing records. Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and support staff to keep cases moving efficiently. Mentor junior legal staff and help maintain high-quality work product. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, including at least 3 years in California Trust & Estate Litigation. Experience managing litigation matters from inception through trial. Supported 25+ depositions and at least 3 trials, including exhibit and evidence Strong experience drafting pleadings, motions, and litigation documents beyond discovery shells. Comprehensive knowledge of the California Probate Code, California Rules of Court (CRC), and Code of Civil Procedure (CCP). Paralegal Certificate or qualification under California Business & Professions Code 6450 (BMP qualified). Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, including OCR and Bates stamping. Experience with Trial Director or similar trial presentation software. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams). Experience using case management systems such as Clio, MyCase, or similar platforms. Excellent written communication, proofreading, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and anticipate next steps. Professional, collaborative, and client-focused with exceptional attention to detail.
