Accounts Payable Intern Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Intern to support our Accounts Payable team with invoice processing, payment review activities, and administrative accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in corporate accounting and finance. Training will be provided, making this an ideal entry-level position for someone eager to learn and develop their accounting skills. Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly field invoices for assigned projects and/or divisions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with reviewing weekly check runs and payment batches.
- Support the Accounts Payable team in meeting weekly processing deadlines.
- Verify invoice information and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and document management activities.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding invoice and payment inquiries.
- Follow established accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls.
- Perform other administrative and accounting-related duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel .
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Previous Accounts Payable experience is helpful but not required.
- Exposure to ERP and expense management systems such as:
- Oracle
- JD Edwards (JDE)
- Concur
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in Accounts Payable and finance operations.
- Structured training and mentorship from experienced accounting professionals.
- Opportunity to develop technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.
- Exposure to accounting systems and business processes used in a corporate setting.
