Mechanical/Elec Sys Int/Manufacturing Engineer (3rd Shift Weekend)

Job Overview Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Manufacturing Engineer at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to plan and author procedures for the Orion Spacecraft Elements Team and provide floor support for Electrical & Mechanical Integration environments. Key Responsibilities Perform various duties including creating and developing manufacturing work instructions. Determine the sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, and solve production problems during the build of mechanical/electrical part pieces and assemblies. Assist in investigating design/manufacturing factors such as equipment or part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and large assembly management. Develop and maintain all assembly documentation. Troubleshoot and correct anomalies and discrepancies in hardware. Perform producibility reviews on engineering designs/drawings to assess manufacturability, ease of assembly, and material availability. Interface with program personnel and report project status to leadership. Work 3rd shift & weekend as required. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred. Knowledge of production manufacturing and assembly processes. Experience reviewing engineering drawings and serving as a floor liaison. Experience with configuration management practices and databases such as Windchill, EPDM, or similar. Experience with SAP (VE CAMS) or similar supporting software for generating manufacturing work instructions and engineering/manufacturing bill of materials. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and reports; strong written communication, including technical writing. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Willingness and ability to work 3rd shift and alternative shifts such as 2nd and split shifts. Clearance level: None. Desired Skills Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software suite. Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space systems tools (STARS, Automation Framework, EPDM) or industry equivalent. Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Creo Parametric, CreoView, EdgeCAM, Delmia. Experience with structural installations. Experience with electrical, structural, avionics, and mechanism installations. Experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). CNC knowledge. Experience in test and requirements verification environments. Experience in Space Vehicle (SV) Test Operations including test development, execution, data analysis, anomaly resolution, and satellite software test systems. Certified Test Conductor (CTC) with experience in SV Integration and Test including baseline ambient, full functional, thermal vacuum, acoustic, EMC/EMI, final functional, and launch base operations. Ability to maintain process discipline in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated ability to grow and seek new challenges. Basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors. Experience in assembly and test operations. Technical writing and communication skills for system level test plans, procedures, and information sheets. Additional Information Location: Kennedy Space Center, Florida (on‑site full‑time). Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week (3rd shift & weekend). Relocation: Possible.
